Aligning endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDC) regulatory needs and scientific advancements towards new EDC risk assessment policies and approaches.
he EDC-MASLD project organises an EDC policy forum targeting researchers in the field and public authorities, including EU risk assessment bodies and regulators, supporting them to improve their risk assessment, management, and communication regarding the causal links between EDC exposure and health outcomes. The forum will provide input to scientists and help them steer their research, while also identifying concrete policy questions and providing input to those based on EDC-MASLD research.
The policy forum will be held on 19 November 2024 at 10:00 – 12:00 CET in an online format. It will gather policy / regulatory needs, set the scene and give an outlook for activities in the coming years to align research activities towards closing the gap between scientific advancements and regulatory needs. EDC-MASLD will bring together researchers from the ENKORE cluster to share their latest and upcoming activities on the link between EDC exposure and health outcomes, as well as the utility of new methods for EDC risk assessment, in particular new approach methodologies / non-animal methods (NAMs) and Adverse Outcome Pathways (AOPs).
